: The floor of a rectangular room that measures 10 feet by 12 feet is partially covered by a circular rug with a radius of 4 feet. What percent of the floor is covered by the rug? (Hint: The area of a circle is A=(oie sign)r2).
So I know that radius of the rug which I believe is 16 (pie sign) which means that 44 is the entire area - 16 which leaves you with 28, I'm just having a problem with how to set this problem up and come up with the answer which I believe is right around 63.6363% but I still need to know how to set up the problem.
Thanks for any help This question is from textbook
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The total area of the floor is 10x12 = 120 square feet.
The area of the rug is PIx4x4 = 50.27 square feet.
50.27/120 = 0.4189 = 41.89%
