You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let L = length of rectangle
W = width of rectangle
Perimeter= 2(L + W) (1)
Given:
L = 3W + 5
Perimeter= 194
Express equation (1) in terms of W using given data
2(3W + 5 + W) = 194
6W + 10 + 2W = 194
8W = 194 - 10
8W = 182/8
W = 23
L = 3(23) + 5
L = 74
Answer m:
The rectangle has a length of 74 meters
and a width of 23 meters.
