Question 113852: determine which two equation represent perpendicular lines.
a) y=4/7x-3
b) y=3x-4/7
c) y=-1/3x+4/7
d) y=1/3x-4/7 Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! b and c.
y=mx+b
In order to form perpendicular lines the slope(m) of one has to be the negative reciprocal of the other.
the negative reciprocal of 3 is -1/3 and vice versa.
