You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The area of a square garden is 12.25 sq/m.
Determine the perimeter of the garden, if the owner decides to put a gravel pathway in the garden that reduces the area of the garden by 4.96 sq/m.
What is the new side length of the garden?
:
The area of garden not including the pathway
12.25 - 4.96 = 7.29 sq/m
:
The perimeter of the remaining square
P = 4 * sqrt%287.29%29
P = 4 * 2.7 m
P = 10.8 m is the perimeter
:
Obviously one side would be 2.7 m
