Question 1066190: The ramp leading up to my classroom forms a triangular prism with the ground. The triangular face has a base and height 15 ft by 3 ft, respectively, and the height of the prism is 4 ft. How much space is between my ramp and the ground?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
If you are asking about the volume, it is the product of the base area by the height of the prism.
The problem with such a "curved" formulation does not deserve more expanded explanations.

comment from student: Thanks. Triangular prisms aren't "curved". I was hoping to find some clarification on this problem
as the wording seems a bit convoluted.
-------------------
My response:
1) I didn't say "Triangular prism is curved".
I said "the problem's formulation is curved".
Do you feel the difference ?
And, please, do not misrepresent my words.
2) "I was hoping to find some clarification on this problem as the wording seems a bit convoluted"
a) Would you hope, why didn't you ask about it ???
b) Did you expect I will edit your writing ???
It is something new in this site: to use tutors as the editors or translators (or clarificators).
3) I am not going to search for the black cat in the dark room where he (the cat) is not.
