recall: a circumference a circle formula is C=2r%2Api where r is a radius and constant pi=3.14
since you need diameter d, recall that d=2r; so, a circumference a circle formula could be written as C=d%2Api
if the floor of a birdcage is a circle with a circumference of about 47.1 inches, than the diameter of the birdcage floor is
47.1=d%2A3.14
d=47.1%2F3.14.......convert decimals into whole numbers
d=4710%2F314
d=15-> so, the length of the diameter is 15 inches
