Question 977169: i took 1000 rupees from A n took 500 from B then I realised I lost 1000 rs and just have 500 I spent 300 . later on A & B asked me a for money I had 200 which I gave them respectly 100 rs. now I have yo give 900 to A and 400 to B that means I have to give 1300 but then how did I spent 300 in food ? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
You borrowed a total of 1500 and paid back 200, therefore you still owe 1300. According to the story, of the 1500 borrowed, 1000 was lost, 300 was spent, and 200 was repaid, leaving a balance owing of 1300. It all adds up evenly and makes perfectly good sense. The 300 you spent on food was part of the 1300 you still owe, not part of the 200 you repaid.
