You can put this solution on YOUR website! norberto cads invests two-thirds of php 30,000 at 10% and the rest at a rate such that his annual income from the 10% investment is php 800 more. at what rate does he invest for the second sum ?
norberto cads invests two-thirds of php 30,000 at 10% = 20000
income from above = 10%of 20000= 2000
and the rest at a rate such that his annual income from the 10% investment is php 800 more.
He gets 800 less than from 10% investment
2000-800=1200
From 10,000 he gets 1200
For 100 he gets 100*1200/10000 = 12%
10,000 at 12% = 1200
20,000 at 10% = 2000
