You can put this solution on YOUR website!
n fishermen in the original group of fishermen. Each would pay 2400%2Fn PhP.
"Two men withdrew", then n-2 are in the adjusted group. Each would pay 2400%2F%28n-2%29 PhP.

The adjusted group forces each member to pay MORE than the each member of the original group; 100 PhP difference and 2400%2F%28n-2%29%3E2400%2Fn

highlight%282400%2F%28n-2%29-2400%2Fn=100%29
24%2F%28n-2%29-24%2Fn=1
Multiply both sides by n(n-2)
24n-24%28n-2%29=n%28n-2%29
*24n-24n%2B48=n%5E2-2n__________(mistake WAS found but now fixed)
n%5E2-2n=24n-24n%2B48
n%5E2-2n-48=0

Resorting to General Solution to Quadratic Formula but omitting some steps here,... n=%282%2Bsqrt%284-4%2A%28-48%29%29%29%2F2 .
n=1%2B-sqrt%2849%29,
highlight%28n=8%29
EIGHT fishermen originally.

A group of fishermen rented a boat for PhP2400.00. Two of the men withdrew from the party and as result, the share of each of those remaining was increased by 100. How many were in the original group?

Let original amount in group be G
Then each original member had to pay 2400%2FG
With 2 men withdrawing, that leaves G – 2 men
New amount each will pay = 2400%2F%28G+-+2%29
As each member from new group pays $100 more, then: 2400%2F%28G+-+2%29+-+100+=+2400%2FG

2,400G – 100G(G – 2) = 2,400(G – 2) ------- Multiplying by LCD, G(G – 2)

2400G+-+100G%5E2+%2B+200G+=+2400G+-+4800

100G%5E2+%2B+2400G+-+2400G+-+200G+-+4800+=+0

100G%5E2+-+200G+-+4800+=+0

100%28G%5E2+-+2G+-+48%29+=+100%280%29 ------ Factoring out GCF, 100

G%5E2+-+2G+-+48+=+0
(G - 8)(G + 6) = 0

G, or original amount in group = highlight_green%288%29 OR G = - 6 (ignore)

You can do the check!!
