You can put this solution on YOUR website!
at music warehouse, the regular price for a CD is d dollars.
How many CDs can be purchased there for m dollars when the CDs are on sale
at 20% off the regular price?
:
Let me unconfuse you here,
the no. that can be purchased without the discount would be
total amt you have, divided by the cost of each cd: m%2Fd
:
When each cd is discounted 20%, the cost then = .8d, therefore:
no. of cds = m%2F%28.8d%29 but the way they put it, .8 = 4/5, therefore
It would be: b %284m%29%2F%285d%29

Since each CD is being sold at a 20% discount, price of each = .8d, or %288%2F10%29d, or %284%2F5%29d, or 4d%2F5

Amount that can be purchased for $m = m%2F%284d%2F5%29, or m%285%2F4d%29, or highlight_green%285m%2F4d%29 (CHOICE C)
