Question 342049: A salesperson's weekly income is determined by a salary of $250 per week and 11% commission on his sales exceeding $1000. Express the salesperson's weekly income (I) as a function of his sales (s) when his sales exceed $1000.
It's in a program where answers are given and originally I thought it to be I(s)=250+.11s, but this is not correct. Help?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"11% commission on his sales exceeding $1000"

try ___ I(s) = 250 + .11(s-1000)
