x+5 = sweater

Solve using basic algebra.

Using logical reasoning and simple mental arithmetic....

If the sweater cost $5 less, it would cost the same as the shirt, and the total cost would be $60.
So the shirt costs half of $60, or $30.
So the sweater costs $30+$5 = $35.
