Hello there,
If the Audio Outlet gave away 3 recorders, they would have 57 recorders left. Let r be one recorder.
57r = 1188
r = 1188/57
r = $20.84

let x= purchase price for one recorder
(2x*57)-60x=1188
114x-60x=1188
54x=1188
x=22 purchase price
2x=$44 what the store sold each recorder for. Ans
Check:
(44*57)-(22*60)=2508-1320=1188
