Here it goes..

It is given that 342 cups of coffee can be made by 9 lbs of coffee..

We are required to find the number of cups of coffee made by 6 lbs.


==> 9 --- 342
==> 6 --- x ?

Cross Multiplying, we get:

9x = 6 * 342

==> x = +%286+%2A+342%29%2F9

==> x = 2052%2F9

==> x = 228

Thus, we can prepare 228 cups in lbs of coffee..

Hence, the solution.
