You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the weights of the fish be a, b, and c
given:
(1) a+%2B+b+%2B+c+=+64 ounces
(2) a+=+2b
(3) c+=+%281%2F2%29%2Aa
----------------
from (2),
b+=+a%2F2
Substituting:
(1) a+%2B+a%2F2+%2B+a%2F2+=+64
2a+=+64
a+=+32
and
b+=+a%2F2
b+=+16
and
c+=+a%2F2
c+=+16
The weights of the fish are 32 ounces, 16 ounces, 16 ounces
