Question 911423: This is word for word the problem on my daughters 2nd grade math homework. I can't figure the answer since it says "some more".
Erica has 6 coins in her coin collection.
She goes to a coin show and buys some more.
How many coins does she have now? Found 2 solutions by ichigo449, richwmiller:Answer by ichigo449(30) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 6+some more which equals some more+6 cause addition is commutative? This is reminiscent of 'New Math' so that's my best guess, sorry. Maybe they're just trying to introduce the concept of addition without rules i.e 27+9 = 36 without carrying or Feynman's hypothetical Mayan priests counting beans in a pot.
