You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Greg started with a certain number of quarters. He then decided on a number of quarters he would save each day. He added the quarters he saved to the amount with which he started. At the end of day 2, Greg had a total of 26 quarters saved. At the end of day 5, he had a total of 35 quarters saved.
How many did he start with?
From day two to day 5, went from 26 to 35 quarters or 9 quarters in 3 days
Therefore he adds 3 quarters a day
Since he had 26 quarters on day two, he must have started with 20 quarters
:
What would the equation be to model the number of quarters he has saved y, after x days?
y = 3x + 20 would be the equation
