You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let quarters will be 3x and nickels will be $x
if Mark had 3 times as many quarters as nickels, and if he had $1.60 in all, than 0.25%2A3x%2B0.05x=1.6:
0.75x%2B0.05x=1.6
0.80x=1.6
x=1.6%2F0.80
x=2.....nickels
and 3%2A2=6 quarters

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.25*3X+.05X=1.60
.75X+.05X=1.60
.80X=1.60
X=1.60/.80
X=2 NICKELS.
3*2=6 QUARTERS.
PROOF:
.25*6+.05*2=1.60
1.50+.10=1.60
1.60=1.60
