You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A man, 32 years old has a son 8 years of age.
Let the man be twice as old as his son in x years.
We have (32+x)=2(x+8)
32+x=2x+16
x=16
In 16 years the man will be twice as old as his son.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

let man's age be x and son's age y
given:
x=32
y=8
In how many years (let it be k) will the man be twice as old as his son:x%2Bk=2%28y%2Bk%29
32%2Bk=2%288%2Bk%29
32%2Bk=16%2B2k
32-16=2k-k
k=16.......in 16 years the man will be twice as old as his son
check:
32%2B16=48
8%2B16=24=>2%2A24=48
