Here is the equation for the way I understand this statement, kind of vague!
a - 3 = 2%2F3a + 12
a = 2%2F3a + 12 + 3
a = 2%2F3a + 15
multiply by 3
3a = 2a + 3(15)
3a - 2a = 45
a = 45 is the exact age
