I think the answer is 15 and 10, but I don't know how I would write the equation I would use to get there.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Pete is 5 years older then Mary.
Pete=Mary%2B5
5 Years ago Pete was twice as old as Mary
Pete-5=2%28Mary-5%29

Pete-5=2Mary-10 ...substitute Pete=Mary%2B5
Mary%2B5-5=2Mary-10
Mary=2Mary-10
10=2Mary-Mary
10=Mary
Mary=10
and Pete=10%2B5=> Pete=15
