Did she really buy a dozen eggs in which 8 eggs were broken?
She spent #60 to buy the 12 eggs. She had only 4 good eggs in the purchase. She sold the 4 good eggs for #24 as given. She LOST MONEY! You cannot call this any kind of positive profit. This is a loss of #36. The described "made a profit of #12" makes no sense.
