Question 933393: Kendall is 9 years old. She is 2/3 her aunt's age minus 11 years. Use A to find her aunts age.
I think the aunts age is 30, but can't figure out how to actually write out the equation. I thought it would be 9 x 2/3 - 11. Or is it (9 +11) x 2/3. This is 6th grade extra credit. Just can't reason through it...

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Kendall is 9 years old.
She is 2/3 her aunt's age minus 11 years.
Use A to find her aunts age.
: a - 11 = 9; is the equation a = 9 + 11 a = 20
multiply both sides by 3
2a = 60
a = 60/2
a = 30 just like you said
