Question 913498: Lucy is x number of years old, her little sister's age is Lucys age minus 3 so (x-3), her older sister is Lucy's age times two minus 5 so (2x-5) but I need to write an equation for all of the girls ages and I'm very confused on how to do so, every equation I think will work doesn't seem to add up, I would very much appreciate some help

Older sister, 2x-5.
That is all. Not enough information given for any equation. Maybe, how much older is Lucy's older sister than Lucy? But you still have a variable: 2x-5-x=x-5.
