Question 909134: age of 2 persons 4:5 and one 30 years older than the other now find sum of their ages
Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If I'm understanding the problem correctly, there are two people whose ages are 30 years apart, and whose ages have a ratio of 4:5.
In that case, we want that ratio to have a difference of 30.
4*30:5*30
120:150
Sum is 270 (and an impossibility)
