R = 3J
R+15 = 2(J+15)
Distribute
R+15=2J+30
Substitute the known value of R
(3J) + 15 = 2J + 30
Subtract 2J from each side
J + 15 = 30
Subtract 15 from each side
J = 15


If Jenny is 15, then Randal is 45 (3x her age)
In 15 years, Jenny will be 15+15 (30), and Randal will be 45+15 (60)
