Since January has 31 days, February 6 is the 31+6 or 37th day of
the year.
She was exactly 1997-1965 or 32 years old on January 17, 1997.
February 6, 1997 was 37-17 or 20 days after her birthday. So we
calculate what fraction of a year 20 days is of one year. Since
there were 365 days in 1997 (it wasn't a leap year), the fraction
of a year she was after her birthday is which reduces
to . So she was years old on February 6th, 1997.
