The ages of Mrs.A's 3 pets , Peaches, Coco , and Kirby, are consecutive even integers. The sum of their ages is 24.
Part A - write an equation that can be used to find Peaches, the youngest animals age n.
Part B - Find the ages.

You can either:

Divide 24 by 3, and the result is the MIDDLE dog's, or Coco's age. The lesser even integer to the left of Coco's age is Peaches' age, and the greater even integer to the right of Coco's age is Kirby's.

OR

Let youngest dog's (Peaches') age be P

Then Coco's and Kirby's ages are: P + 2, and P + 4, respectively. Set these ages equal to 24, solve for P, or Peaches' age, and then determine the other 2 dogs' ages.

Then conduct a check!!
