Question 774254: The sum of ages of 5 children born at the interval of 3 years each is 50 years .what is the age of youngest child?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The five children's ages will be :-
x, x + 3, x + 6, x + 9, x + 12.
Added together this gives:
5x + 30
Total of ages = 50
5x + 30 = 50
5x = 50 - 30
5x = 20
x = 4.
The youngest child is 4 years old.
Hope this helps.
