You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The ratio of the ages of A and B ten years ago was 3:5.
If the ratio of their present ages is 2:3
how old is B today?
:
Let x = the multiplier
then
2x = age of A
3x = age of B
:
%282x-10%29%2F%283x-10%29 = 3%2F5
cross multiply
5(2x-10) = 3(3x-10)
10x-50 = 9x-30
10x - 9x = -30 + 50
x = 20 is the multiplier
:
3*20 = 60 is B's age
