Let +f+ = my father's age now

(1) +2m+=+f+-+12+
(1) +f+-+2m+=+12+
and
(2( +m+%2B+6+=+%281%2F3%29%2Af+%2B+6+
(2) +3m+%2B+18+=+f+%2B+18+
(2) +3m+=+f+

Substitute (2) into (1)
(1) +f+-+2m+=+12+
(1) +3m+-+2m+=+12+
(1) +m+=+12+
and, since
(2) +3m+=+f+
(2) +f+=+36+
I am 12 and my father is 36.
12 years ago when I was born,
