Thsi implies

x + y = 70 and
x - y = 32
------------- [ solving both the equations simultaneously]
2x = 102


==> x = 102%2F2

==> x = 51

Substitute this x in any one of the equations to get the value of y.


51 + y = 70

y = 70 - 51

==> y = 19


Hence, the age of Mrs. Bai is 51 years and that of Jenni is 19 years.
