You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Mira is twelve years older than her brother Carlo. Four years from now, Carlo will be two – thirds as old as Mira will be four years from now. How old are they now?
PLease help me solve this.

Let Carlo's age be C
Then Mira's is C + 12

C+%2B+4+=+%282%2F3%29%28C+%2B+12+%2B+4%29

C+%2B+4+=+2%28C+%2B+16%29%2F3

C+%2B+4+=+%282C+%2B+32%29%2F3

3(C + 4) = 2C + 32 ----- Cross-multiplying

3C + 12 = 2C + 32

3C - 2C = 32 - 12

C, or Carlos' current age = highlight_green%2820%29

Mira is currently 20 + 12, or highlight_green%2832%29 years-old

Do the check to see if it makes sense!!
