ten years ago, jane age was four times as old as mary's age 

Question states*** NOW, jane is only twice as old as mary.

  y + 10 = 2(x +10)    ||  

  4x + 10 = 2x+ 20

      2x = 10

      , mary's age 10 years ago.  jane 20 then

NOW: mary is 15 and jane is 30
