You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Let F be the father's current age.

Let S be the son's current age.

F=3%2AS and %28F%2B10%29=2%2A%28S%2B10%29

Since we have F by itself, substitute this value for F into the second equation:

%28F%2B10%29=2%2A%28S%2B10%29

%283%2AS%2B10%29=2%2A%28S%2B10%29

3%2AS%2B10=2%2AS%2B20%29

S=10%29

If S=10, then we know

F=3%2AS

F=3%2A10

F=30

Thus, the father is currently 30 years old, and his son is 10 years old.

I hope this helps! :)
