George and Harry's ages together equal 180 years today. 30 years ago, George is 3 times older than Harry. What are their ages?
Thanks for any help that you can provide!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Let George's age now be and let Harry's age now be .

Solve the 2X2 system.

Go tell your teacher/instructor/professor that they should give a care toward the real-world reasonability of the answer to the problem. At the very least, s/he could have given George a woman's name so it would have at least been possible (The oldest verified man was < 116, the oldest verified woman was > 122)
