Your present age = x
10 years ago you were = x-10
In 12 years you will be = x+12
According to given condition
x+12=3(x-10)
x+12=3x-30
x-3x=-30-12
-2x=-42
Divide by -2 both sides
-2x/-2=-42/-2
x=21
