You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5 1/2 = 5+1/2 = 10/2+1/2 = 11/2

So

5 1/2 x 3 = 11/2 x 3 = 11/2 x 3/1 = 33/2


This means that 5 1/2 x 3 = 33/2 which is 16 1/2
