You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1. Uncle's Age = 5 yrs. older than trice my eldest brothers age
My eldest brother = 17 yrs
So Uncle's age = (3*17)+5
56 Years
2. Lynn has 2 1/4 meters of white cloth. She used 5/3 meters for a dress.
2 1/4 = 9/4
(9/4) - (5/3)
Multiplying both numerator & denominator of first term by 3 and second term by 4, we get ..
27/12 - 20/12
(27-20)/12
7/12
Ans : Cloth left with Lynn is 7/12 meters
