x= 224/y
224/y +y=30
(224+y^2)/y=30
y^2+224=30y
y^2-30y+224=0
y-16y-14y+224=0
y(y-16)-14(y-16)=0
(y-16)(y-14)=0
y= 16 OR 14.
their ages are 16 & 14
