Question 354254: In 1992 the life expectancy of males in a certain country was 67.2 years. In 1997 it was 69.7 years. Let E represent the life expectancy in year t and let t represent the number of years since 1992. The linear function E(t) that fits the data is: E(t)=__t+__ (fill in blanks)
Use the function to predict the life expectancy of males in 2007. E(15)=__
PLEASE HELP!!! I have a final due tonight :(

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
after 5 years , the life expectancy has increased 2.5 years (69.7 - 67.2)
___ an average of .5 years per year (2.5 / 5)

so the linear function starts in the base year (67.2) and increases half a year for every year since the baseline

E(t) = .5t + 67.2
