You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Lola is 6 times as old as Paul.

L = 6P

Last year, she was 10 years older than he was then.

Last year she was L-1 and he was P-1

L-1 = P-1 + 10

system%28L=6P%2CL-1=P-1%2B10%29

Can you simplify and solve that system? If not
post again asking how.

Paul is just a toddler, 2, and Lola is a 7th-grader, 12.

Checking: Last year he was 1, just a baby, and she was 11
in the 6th grade, so then she was 10 years older than he was.
