easiest way for me is to make a chart
in 1 yr she will be 1. 16+1=17 3x1=3 no
in 2 yrs she will be 2. 16+2=18 3x2=6 no
in 3 yrs she will be 3. 16+3=19 3x3=9 no
in 4 yrs she will be 4. 16+4=20 3x4=12 no
in 5 yrs she will be 5. 16+5=21 3x5=15 no
in 6 yrs she will be 6. 16+6=22 3x6=18 no
in 7 yrs she will be 7. 16+7=23 3x7=21 no
in 8 yrs she will be 8. 16+8=24 3x8=24 YES
you will be 24 when u are 3 times older then her
