Question 290929: I was invited to my nieghbor Susan's birthday party, and when I asked how old she now was, she told me this:
When I was one year older than half my husband Mike's age now, he was as old as I was when he was as old as I am now.
When I was three-quarters as old as Mike is, he was as old as I will be when he is 13 years older than I am now.
What are Susan's and Mike's ages now?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When I was one year older than half my husband Mike's age now, he was as old as I was when he was as old as I am now.
When I was three-quarters as old as Mike is, he was as old as I will be when he is 13 years older than I am now.

I, M=Mike
%281%2F2%29M%2B1=I
%283%2F4%29M=I%2B13
damn this is so damn confusing id like to see why your teacher cant reword this word problem properly way to many "was" words in one sentence.
I dont know if my equations above are correct so im not gonna work the problem, good luck with it.
