Answer by bmckenzie40(10)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You can call the first number X
X + (X+2) = 8 therefore
2X + 2 = 8
2X = 6
X = 3
since the first number is 3 and the second number is two more than that, 3+2 = 5
so the second number is 5
5+3 = 8
