You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Peg=4
Rose=10
2(x+4)=x+10
2x+8=x+10
2x-x=10-8
x=2 years from now Rose will be twicw as old as Peg.
Proof:
2(4+2)=10+2
2*6=12
12=12

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let n = the number of years from now when
Rose will be twice as old as Peggy
4+%2B+n will be Peggy's age then
10+%2B+n will be Rose's age then
given:
10+%2B+n+=+2%2A%284+%2B+n%29
10+%2B+n+=+8+%2B+2n
Subtract 8 from both sides
2+%2B+n+=+2n
n+=+2
In 2 years, Rose will be twice as old as Peggy
check:
10+%2B+n+=+2%2A%284+%2B+n%29
10+%2B+2+=+2%2A%284+%2B+2%29
12+=+2%2A6
12+=+12
OK
