okay you wouldn't know the exact age of tom because you dont know how old Alex is so the only thing that i can tell you is this is how you would write the problem out..

The answer could be ANYTHING as we don't know how old either of them are. However, the expression that can be used to find it is:
5(2x)=Tom's Age
