Since the sum of Gigi's and Georgina's ages in 2 years will be (12x + 4),
the sum of their current ages is  ((12x+4)-2-2) = 12x years.


Since the sum of their current ages is 12x and Gigi is 3 times as old as Georgina now,
you can conclude mentally that Georgina is 3x years old , while Gigi is 9x years old.

The sum of their ages 2 years from now will be 12x+4, so the sum of their ages now is (12x+4)-4 = 12x.

Then since Gigi is currently 3 times as old as Georgina, Gigi's age now is 9x and Georgina's age now is 3x.

So the difference between their ages is 6x; and that means when Gigi is 15 Georgina's age will be 15-6x.

ANSWER: 15-6x
