Twelve years ago, the age of the father was three times the age of his daughter.
12 years ago daughter's age be x years
father's age = 3x
After twelve years, father’s age will be twice than of his daughter. The ratio present ages is?
after(12+12)= 24 years
3x+24= 2(x+24)
3x+24= 2x+48
3x-2x= 48-24
x =24
Present age of daughter = 24+12 =36 years.
Father;s age = 72+12 = 84
Ratio = 36/84 = 3/7
