Let x = King's age 4 years ago
Then 2x-3 = Noriel's age 4 years ago

Since Noriel will be 6 years older than King 5 years from now, the difference in their ages is (always) 6:

%282x-3%29-x=6
x-3=6
x=9

4 years ago, their ages were x=9 and 2x-3=15.

ANSWERS: Their ages now are 9+4=13 and 15+4=19
